The Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation is a membership organization of recreation professionals from cities and counties plus special districts, school districts, and industry.
Categories of membership in the non-profit Federation are:
ACTIVE MEMBER: Individuals who have the responsibility to administer and/or conduct a sports program for a municipality, county agency, recreation district, or any agency that is the major provider of recreation services within the SCMAF geographic boundaries are eligible to be an Active Member. Active Members are eligible to vote and are entitled to hold elective or appointive office in the Federation.
Membership fee: $70 per year.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER: Individuals who have the responsibility for a sports program in any school district, industrial firm, community corporation, any branch of the armed forces, university, college, athletic association, athletic club, recognized youth serving agency, state or national recreation association, or church shall be eligible to become an Associate Member.
Membership fee: $95 per year.
AFFILIATE MEMBER: Individuals who have the responsibility for a sports facility or a sports program in any school district, industrial firm, for profit federation, state or national recreation association, any branch of the armed forces, university, college, athletic association, athletic club, recognized youth serving agency, church, or any agency that is the major provider of recreational sports services outside of the established Federation geographic boundaries shall be eligible for Affiliate membership.
Membership fee: $95 per year.
AUXILIARY MEMBER: Individuals who wish to support the Federation and who are unable to qualify for membership in other categories are eligible for Auxiliary Membership.
Membership fee: $50 per year.
STUDENT MEMBER: Individuals who are enrolled in a college or university program in recreation, physical education, public administration or related field and either working or volunteering in a recreational sports program are eligible for Student Membership.
Membership fee: $20 per year.
SPECIAL MEMBERS: Special Memberships are available to any business or corporation interested in assisting the Federation in promoting its objectives and furthering its mission. Special Member benefits and fees vary by the Special Member package selected.
