The Southern California Teen Coalition and SCMAF held a Joint Membership Meeting at Dodger Stadium on Thursday, July 28th. Over 40 attendees gathered in the Tommy Lasorda Training Center for this meeting. Former SCMAF President Kevin McArdle of Rancho Cucamonga was the guest speaker focusing on fundraising. All attendees were given a behind the scenes tour of the stadium and some Dodgers’ merchandise. Thanks to Steve Costley of South Gate for organizing this event.

Dodger Stadium is the third oldest active stadium in Major League Baseball. The stadium has hosted World Series games in 1963, 1965, 1966, 1974, 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1988, including the title-clinching game in 1963. Major League Baseball staged the All Star Game in 1980. In 2009 it was the site of the semi finals and finals of the World Baseball Classic, and in 1984 was the stage for Summer Olympics baseball, as a demonstration sport.
