SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUNICIPAL ATHLETIC FEDERATION ANNOUNCES THE SIGNING OF
CAL SOUTH AS A CORPORATE SPONSOR
South El Monte, CA – July 30, 2012 – The Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (SCMAF), a non-profit organization which promotes a better life through sports and physical fitness and is headquartered in South El Monte, is pleased to announce the signing of Cal South, a non-profit premier soccer organization in the United States, as a new “Gold” Level Corporate Sponsor.
Founded over 65 years ago, SCMAF was created to establish a comprehensive organization to provide guidance and services to communities and agencies in many facets of athletics. The founders recognized the need for an area-wide organization that could develop rules, train officials and conduct tournaments for the Youth and Adults of Southern California.
“The mission for SCMAF, as a membership based organization, is to create healthier communities through sports and physical activities, so connecting our member agencies with Cal South through this sponsorship is a perfect fit,” states Tim Ittner, Executive Director for SCMAF. “Agencies see great value through our SCMAF programs and we are confident that this sponsorship will help us continue to provide the best programming available.”
Cal South Chief Executive Officer John Weinerth welcomed the news as well. “Cal South is deeply committed to the ongoing success of SCMAF and we are happy to support them at the highest level possible. We both see a huge opportunity in partnering to build better cohesion and awareness of youth and adult soccer opportunities amongst the Agencies throughout Southern California whether it's programming, expertise or assistance with field development through our Foundation.”
Cal South answered SCMAF’s call for sponsors, giving the organization the financial support it needs in order to achieve its long-term goals.
Cal South will be prominently displayed at future SCMAF Championship tournaments, workshops and social events giving the organization a platform outside of the soccer spectrum to introduce its programming to the Southern California Community.
