The 63rd Annual Recreation and Park Training Conference and EXPO was held in

Like the SCMAF Institute, the CPRS Conference gives each park and recreation professional the tools to make sure their performance at their position is current and successful. Education and presentation of new ideas is essential to this. These tools can provide solutions to management and professional development skills or programming to specific groups at your facilities. CPRS provides ideas to assist one with that competitive edge.

Everyone enjoying themselves at the SCMAF Social at the CPRS Conference!
SCMAF’s involvement this year once again was as an exhibitor for two days at the EXPO. The old display booth was brought out for the last time as SCMAF and partner CAL South set up shop next to one another to hopefully make some new contacts for the upcoming year. Of course the main reason people come to connect with the SCMAF booth on the first day of the EXPO is to find out the location of the annual social. The SCMAF Social at the CPRS Conference is one of the biggest events that is not officially sanctioned by the CPRS. The purpose of the SCMAF Social is to give attendees a chance to unwind and loosen up after a day of educational sessions, events and meetings. The social is also a great way to catch up with old friends and network in a relaxing manner. This year’s social was no different, as close to 75 CPRS attendees converged to Fanny Ann’s Saloon in Old Sacramento to enjoy the festivities.
