October 2, 2024– South El Monte, CA –SCMAF is excited to announce that this year’s keynote speaker is James Bailey.
James Thomas Bailey is a multi-faceted theatre artist, educator, and improvisational theatre expert well known in both the theatre and corporate worlds, as well as the educational community. He is Artistic Director and Producer of ComedySportz®, one of Los Angeles' leading improvisational theatre companies and the longest running show in Los Angeles (36 years). His work as a certified practitioner of Applied Improvisation has made him a popular guest teacher, lecturer and workshop facilitator at theatres, universities, and corporations around the United States. He has also served overseas as a Cultural Specialist for the U.S. State Department.
The Institute Committee has been busy planning an informative day filled with dynamic sessions and speakers that will cover a variety of topics that will be beneficial to all recreation professionals.
Registration for the 54th Annual SCMAF Institute is underway. The Institute will be held at the Yorba Linda Community Center on Thursday, October 10. The deadline to register has been extended to, October 4 by 5:00 p.m.
