SCMAF is excited to announce that this year's Awards and Installation Banquet will be held on Thursday, December 5 at the Pico Rivera Golf Course. Each year, deserving individuals and agencies are recognized by SCMAF for their outstanding contribution or service to the Federation. SCMAF members nominate potential recipients of these awards in the various categories. These include: INNOVATIVE SPORTS ACTIVITY RECOGNITION PROGRAM, OUTSTANDING NEW RECREATION FACILITY RECOGNITION PROGRAM, VOLUNTEER MERIT AWARD, PARKS AND RECREATION/COMMUNITY SERVICES COMMISSION MERIT AWARD, APPRECIATION AWARD, SERVICE AWARD, CITATION AWARD, MERIT AWARD, HONORARY MEMBERSHIP and SPECIAL RECOGNITION.

SCMAF also presents the JIM BISHOP AWARD which is presented to a SCMAF Member who has provided outstanding leadership, innovation, commitment and involvement in SCMAF, and who has advanced SCMAF programs, including, but not limited to Team Registration and Insurance Medical Benefits. The ED BALDWIN "SPIRIT OF SCMAF" AWARD who is chosen by the SCMAF President and as the recipient embodies that “spirit” and dedication to the Federation. And finally the GOLDEN SHIELD AWARD which is given to recognize Active Federation Member Agencies for outstanding contributions to the Federation.
