 Student Scholarship Program

 

PURPOSE OF SCHOLARSHIP:

To assist students sincerely interested in furthering their professional advancement in the field of parks and recreation or a related field.

ELIGIBILITY:

The award is open to students attending college majoring in Recreation, Park Management, Human Services, Physical Education, Public Administration or a related field.

CRITERIA:

A committee will review and evaluate each applicant on the basis of education, references, professional involvement, contribution to the profession (either paid or volunteer), and future plans.

AVAILABILITY:

Applications are available through the SCMAF website, www.SCMAF.org  or the MILS website, http://www.meninleisureservices.net

ENTRY:

All applications must be returned to the SCMAF Office no later than Thursday, September 12th, 2019 5:00 PM.

AWARD:

Scholarship winner(s) will be recognized in a special ceremony during the 49th Annual SCMAF Institute, being held at the Diamond Bar Community Center on Thursday, October 4th, 2018.
